The sports and multi-purpose hall was built in 1958. The hall is a central meeting place in Duisdorf to do sports and celebrate festivals.

The sports hall floor and ceiling have passed their lifecycle and are being renewed. The different uses of cycling events up to carnival sessions are a challenge to the material quality. A linoleum floor replaces the old PVC floor. The new material is suitable for numerous sports practiced on hard and soft hall floors and is robust enough for event furniture.
The color and material concept absorbs the bright yellows and grays of walls and underlays and unifies the existing mix of materials and colors. The hall floor turns yellow. Doors, tiles and rubber floors in the locker rooms are gray.
The redesign creates a calmed, bright and friendly room impression. An impact protection is installed and a new multimedia system installed. The lighting of the hall ceiling is being modernized.
The toilet facilities, shower rooms and changing rooms are renewed. Their position and blanks are also improved.
